Autobots will roll out against Decepticons as Universal Studios Hollywood is set to hold the grand opening for Transformers: The Ride 3D on May 25, 2012. The new attraction features Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Megatron, and other familiar robots in disguise, straight out of the film series created by Michael Bay.
Official confirmation of the long-rumored Memorial Day weekend opening date for the ride comes from a new Universal Studios Hollywood teaser video, showing footage from the attraction.

Universal Studios Hollywood describes Transformers: The Ride 3D as “an immersive, next generation thrill ride that blurs the line between fiction and reality. Fusing HD 3D media and flight simulation technology, this epic ride creates an experience unlike anything this planet has ever seen.”
Guests will enter into the N.E.S.T. (Networked Elements: Supporters and Transformers) facility to aid Autobots in protecting the AllSpark from the evil Decepticons, with the help of EVAC, the new Transformer that passengers will actually ride in.
Transformers: The Ride 3D is expected to “soft open” earlier in the month, leading up to the May 25, 2012 grand opening date. The new ride replaces the “Backdraft” attraction in the popular movie studio theme park. The same Transformers ride first debuted last year at Universal Studios Singapore.
More information about the new attraction can be found on its official web site, PrepareForBattle.com.

The robots in the Transformers movies are so ugly. I loved the cartoon as a kid, but can’t watch the movies because the robots’ faces in particular hurt my eyes — there’s so much CGI garbage going on that I don’t know what to look at and the busy-ness of it all makes my head hurt. I imagine a ride with this stuff in it would be a nightmare.
are these pictures and updates from the same kids who “snuck” into the construction sight? or is this universal marketing now?
These are officially released by Universal in promotion of the ride.
I will wait for his impressions, hopefully this is better than the previous series
