Exactly two months after ElecTRONica reaches its End of Line, Disneyland Resort will debut the Mad T Party, a new nighttime dance party inspired by Tim Burton’s “Alice in Wonderland.”
On June 15, 2012, the same day Disney California Adventure will open Cars Land and Buena Vista Street to the public, the Mad T Party will take over the Hollywood Land area of the park, infusing the area with colorful costumes and a mix of rock, pop, and hip-hop music.
Disney made the Mad T Party debut date announcement on Friday, just as I was sailing away on the Disney Fantasy Inaugural Magical Preview Cruise. But it’s still important news to share, not only for planning Disneyland trips this summer, but also to offer some relief from the massive amount of Disney Fantasy coverage we’ll continue to offer throughout the next few days.
And with little theme park news since then, it seems Disney Parks may be holding back on announcements new releases until after the Fantasy sets sail on her maiden voyage on Saturday. Though today through Thursday, at Disney California Adventure, Disneyland Resort annual passholders are invited to take a sneak peek at the Mad T Party, Cars Land, and Buena Vista Street in a merchandise, artwork, and costume preview.
With the announcement, Disney offered a closer look at the Alice-inspired costumes that the dancers, musicians, and DJs will be wearing when the Mad T Party debuts this summer:

Mad Hatter – the host with a hat … and a voice to “TOP” it all off!
March Hare – pumpin’ up the bass!
Dormouse – rockin’ out on lead guitar!
Caterpillar – jammin’ on the keys!
Cheshire Cat – smiling and keepin’ a beat on the drums!And, what would a Mad T Party be without Alice herself? Lucky for us, she “drops in” for her own special moment in the spotlight!
Cars Land, Buena Vista Street, and the Mad T Party will all officially debut to the public on June 15, 2012 at the Disney California Adventure theme park in what is sure to be a busy weekend at the Disneyland Resort. But don’t plan on showing up early, as the entire park will be closed for a media preview of these new offerings on June 14. We’ll be there covering it so come back here to see it all!
