Inside the Magic to cover the Disney Fantasy Inaugural Magical Preview Cruise from Disney Cruise Line

Fans looking forward to seeing the newest addition to the Disney Cruise Line will next month be able to look no further than right here on Inside the Magic, as we will be sailing on the Disney Fantasy Inaugural Magical Preview Cruise!

This special 3-night preview sailing for invited media, travel agents, and other guests (including the grand prize winners of the Walt Disney World D23 Great Disney Scavenger Hunt) will depart Port Canaveral, Fla. on March 23, 2012, returning March 26, just five days before the Disney Fantasy sails on her maiden voyage.

UPDATE (2/23/12): Here’s the fancy invitation we received in the mail today from Disney, including a paper sculpture of the Fantasy ship:

While aboard, we’ll exploring every corner of the ship, taking in Disney’s entertainment, cuisine, and all the amenities to report back when we return.

Much like our coverage of the Disney Dream Christening Cruise in 2011, we’ll be sure to capture and review all the elements that make a Disney cruise unique, with a focus on the new features differentiating the Disney Fantasy from her sister ship.

New features aboard the Disney Fantasy include:

  • Animation Magic” show at Animator’s Palate restaurant
  • “The Case of the Stolen Show” interactive adventure starring The Muppets
  • A virtual trip through Europe in the ship’s Europa nighttime entertainment district
  • Two new Broadway-style musicals
  • Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique
  • The new AquaLab water play area
  • Of course, we’ll also be sure to get in as many rides on the AquaDuck water coaster as we can!

And we’ll have more time on board to see and report on it all, as the Disney Fantasy preview cruise will put us at sea for three nights, rather than the brief two-night cruise we enjoyed on the Disney Dream last year.

Internet accessibility is limited at best while at sea, so don’t expect too many Disney, theme park, or updates while we’re cruising, but be sure to come back to Inside the Magic at the end of March after we return for a full review and report from the Disney Fantasy, the newest addition to the Disney Cruise Line!
