If you’re a Disney family with a boring backyard, HGTV has a magical solution for you. A new season of the popular television series “My Yard Goes Disney” is now casting, looking to transform even more yards with theme park-inspired decorations and play areas.
So far, they’ve worked with four Orlando families adding Disney details to their homes such as a Mickey-shaped pool, a pirate play set and a Disney-inspired train, and
now the show is looking for more Orlando-area families with Disney dreams.
Several families will be cast for the program and they’re especially in need of at least one family with sons. They’re searching for fun, energetic families with ordinary backyards and strong Disney connections.
To apply to be on the show and have your backyard sprinkled with a bit of pixie dust, simply fill out the online application, including a picture of your family and a wide picture of your backyard. The application asks, “Why do you want to turn your backyard into a magical wonderland?” – so be creative! Show your enthusiasm for the Mouse House and perhaps your yard will soon “go Disney.”

Orlando area?! Man, I was guessing having the show take part in Massachusetts this time would have been a longshot.
In all honesty, this is a fun show to watch, but I have seldom seen a backyard on it that I would ever want. The practical part of me is thinking, this is going to kill the resale value of the home. Or, what happens when the kids get older than 8? Now I have a large metal structure in the backyard they are going to ignore because they just want a ride to the mall.
