Disney Fairies meet-and-greet set to return to the Magic Kingdom, but not in Pixie Hollow

Disney announced today that everyone’s favorite Disney Fairies will be returning to the Magic Kingdom theme park for meet-and-greets at the end of this month. Beginning on July 28, Tinker Bell along with her friends Fawn, Iridessa, Silvermist, Rosetta, and Vidia will have a new home inside the Adventureland Veranda, where guests can meet them, get autographs, and have pictures taken.

The Disney Fairies left Pixie Hollow when Mickey’s Toontown Fair permanently closed in February. Since then, they’ve been hanging around Epcot, meeting with park guests. The original plans for the New Fantasyland expansion at the Magic Kingdom called for an elaborate new Pixie Hollow area to be built as a home for the Fairies, but that portion of the expansion project has since been cancelled, leaving the future home of the Fairies unknown.

Disney Princesses, who were also evicted from Toontown when it closed, are currently meeting guests inside Town Square Theater, with plans to ultimately give them a new meet-and-greet spot inside Fantasyland, called the Princess Fairytale Hall.
