As if Disney hadn’t already scheduled enough fun for the weekend of May 13-15 with Destination D: Walt Disney World, now Pixar will celebrate its 25th anniversary at Epcot with special presentations from filmmakers, popular characters, and other events.

Officially announced today, Pixar’s 25th Anniversary Weekend will feature “Pixar character meet and greets, kids activities, informational discussions by Pixar filmmakers.”

Appearing will be Mater from “Cars” and “Cars 2,” and other characters from “The Incredibles,” “Toy Story,” “Ratatouille,” “A Bug’s Life,” “Toy Story 3,” “Monsters, Inc.” and “Up.” Rumors also suggest a rare appearance by a Wall-E animatronic, though not confirmed by Disney.

Galleries will be on display showcasing artwork behind Pixar’s films and even a few “easter eggs.” In addition composer Michael Giacchino, Producer Jonas Rivera and “Cars” Franchise Guardian Jay Ward will host discussions on May 14 & 15.

The daily schedule is as follows:
Noon: Jay Ward
2:00 PM: Jonas Rivera
4:00 PM: Michael Giacchino
6:00 PM: Special Presentation by Jay Ward, Jonas Rivera and Michael Giacchino

It all takes place during the last weekend of the 18th Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival and during the already-packed schedule of Destination D: Walt Disney World and the Great Disney Scavenger Hunt. So Disney fans already planning on attending those events will have to pick their pleasure to take it all in during this busy weekend.
