Just in time for the first day of Disney’s annual Festival of the Masters art show, Pollo Campero and the Babycakes NYC bakery have opened at Walt Disney World’s Downtown Disney.

The health-conscious restaurant replaces McDonald’s, which closed in May at Downtown Disney, ending a long-standing relationship with Disney. Pollo Campero offers Latin food with an emphasis on being “both nutritious AND delicious.” The chain has four other Florida locations: Tampa, Boynton Beach, Cutler Bay (Miami), and Little Havana (Miami).

Pollo Campero’s menu includes fried and citrus-grilled chicken, salads, burgers, hot dogs, and plenty of side dishes such as black beans and rice, plantains, french fries, and yuca fries. Breakfast offerings are also available, including french toast, breakfast burritos and empanadas, fresh fruit, and more. In addition to sodas, drinks include fruit smoothies, beer, sangria, and other Latin offerings.

Inspired by Disney’s commitment to offer its guests great-tasting more healthful options, award-winning restaurateur Larry Levy and Pollo Campero teamed up to create Fresh A-Peel. Operating in the same location as Pollo Campero, Fresh A-Peel features a nutritious and delicious array of hot-off-the-grill items and chef-prepared salads and wraps, as well as gluten-free cupcakes and bakery treats.

For dessert, the Pollo Campero location includes a Babycakes NYC vegan bakery, offering a variety of baked goods like cupcakes in vanilla, carrot, red velvet, and many other flavors.
