After releasing the first images yesterday from the upcoming “Winnie the Pooh” film, Disney has now released the first trailer for the film, scheduled for release to theaters in Summer 2011.
The trailer offers a look at the traditional, 2D hand-drawn animation that has been revived for the new “Pooh” film, bringing the series back to its roots:

Beyond a dazzling sequence filled with glistening honey that only modern technology could produce, this trailer, complete with storybook page turning, shows off how the film is taking cues from the look and feel of Disney’s classic “Pooh” tales. It even takes time to make the the point that the Pooh family, including Eeyore, Piglet, Owl, and Tigger, are “back where they belong” on the big screen, letting audiences know that this is indeed the Winnie the Pooh they remember, not the mass-produced computer-animated version we have grown used to seeing in recent years.
“Winnie the Pooh” will hit theaters on July 15, 2011.

I agree. It did bring a smile to my face and they are back and so is Disney!!
Looks awesome…good to see some classic 2D animation, but since when as Christopher Robbin been british?
He’s been British since, like, forever. Or he’s SUPPOSED to be British. Christopher Robin was based off A.A. Milne’s son.
Im sure the movie will be great but i didnt like the trailer all that much it was sort of depressing. plus the voices of owl and eyore were kind of off which bothered me a bit. and christopher robbin looked kind of strange…… I think its the eyes.
