SeaWorld Orlando’s family-friendly Halloween Spooktacular features Sesame Street favorites Abby Cadabby and Count Von Count

in Events, SeaWorld, Theme Parks

Of all the major Central Florida theme parks, SeaWorld Orlando is the only one to include its Halloween time event during the day as part of regular admission.

Guests visiting the park October 9-10, 16-17, 23-24, and 29-31 can enjoy the SeaWorld Halloween Spooktacular featuring an underwater “fantasea” where children can trick-or-treat, meet sea creatures, catch silly and spooky shows and find their way through a maze with Sesame Street’s Abby Cadabby.

The daytime event begins at 12 p.m. on each of the above dates and offers trick-or-treat stations featuring more than 3 million pieces of candy as well as hidden “sea” treasures that guests may find using Spooktacular maps. Other characters wandering the Spooktacular event include Gummy Worm Wanda, Salt Water Taffy, and Swedish Fish Suzy. They’re not scary – or at least they’re not meant to be.

Abby Cadabby’s Halloween Adventure is a 4,000-square-foot outdoor pathway where trick-or-treaters can help Sesame Street’s Abby Caddaby search for her magic wand and even meet Abby for photo opportunities.

For more Sesame Street fun at an additional cost, Count Von Count’s Spooktacular Breakfast is available on select mornings at 8:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. during which guests can mingle with familiar characters while enjoying music and a breakfast “boo”-ffet.

Another upcharge event is decorating Halloween-themed cookies. Guests purchase a decorating kit that includes a souvenir lunch box filled with a jumbo sugar cookie, toppings ranging from icing and sprinkles to M&M’S, and milk or apple juice to wash it all down.

SeaWorld also offers a Spooky Spectacular Sleepover (6 p.m. – 9 a.m. on Oct. 15, 16, 22 and 23) during which families can snuggle into a spooky slumber surrounded by exotic fish, rays, and sea dragons inside the floor-to-ceiling aquariums at Manta. A pizza dinner and breakfast are also included. The cost for the sleepover is $78 per person or $103, which includes next-day park admission.
