Commercial shoot at Hogsmeade Village in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter

in Television, Theme Parks, Universal Orlando

As the wait continues for the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Orlando to open, we bring you another unique look into Hogsmeade Village. When we were previously sent photos from within the Wizarding World, we got to peek inside the Hogwarts greenhouse and see a few other Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey queue details. Now, more photos have recently arrived to us anonymously, this time giving us a look at what appears to be a recent television commercial shoot that was taking place within the streets of Hogsmeade Village.

We didn’t receive too much more information about the shoot beyond the facts that these photos were taken between May 13 and 16 and that actors were portraying theme park guests walking around the Wizarding World. But the anonymous photographer did also offer us a closer view of the entrances to Zonko’s Joke Shop and Honeydukes.

Rumors of a soft opening of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter persist, with each passing day being another possibility for day guests to finally step foot inside. Universal team members (employees) had a brief chance to test ride the Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey attraction today, though reports indicate that the ride was shut down not too long after previews began. This was, after all, a test run (or “technical rehearsal” as it is often called) so the short duration of the preview does not indicate anything about the state of the ride’s completion other than the fact that Universal is actively testing it before opening it to guests. Of course, we are still more than three weeks away from the grand opening of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter on June 18, which leaves plenty of time for everything to be sorted out.
