Busch Gardens Tampa Bay’s new roller coaster Cheetah Hunt had its final piece of track installed as construction crews worked into Monday evening. It completes the 4,429-foot track, a record length among Busch Gardens Tampa’s coasters.

The final section, seen being installed in the video below, completes the “jump” over the Skyride’s cables:

But Cheetah Hunt is not complete. The architecture and theming of its surrounding area will be completed over the course of the next two months leading up to the ride’s May 27, 2011 grand opening date.

Nearby, work also continues on the Cheetah Run habitat, which will offer guests a chance to get up-close and witness a cheetah’s speed first-hand during daily sprints. Cheetah Run will also have its grand opening on May 27.
